Hello everyone! My name is Crystina Lugo-Beach, the author and creator of the Life’s a Lugo-Beach blog. Thank you so much for stopping by!
I am originally from Honolulu, HI. I lived there until I was five years old before my mom and I eventually moved to Clarksville, TN, where I attended elementary, middle and high school. Once I graduated, I attended school at the University of Miami where I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. While in school, I worked at Olive Garden as waitress, which is where I met my boyfriend, Myles Thompson. From there, we moved to Tri-Cities, WA while I worked as a television news reporter, covering stories about crime, education, community events, etc. I now live in Minneapolis, MN, where I work for a small company as a Marketing Communications Specialist.
About this Blog
The main portion of this blog will center around traveling.
I always loved to travel within the country growing up, but for my 20th birthday, a group of girl friends and I went to the Bahamas. That was my first time traveling internationally and I was instantly hooked. From then on, I vowed to always spend my actual birthday in another country.
When Myles and I moved to Tri-Cities, he got a job at the airport with SkyWest Airlines as a ramp agent. This officially turned us into a #nonrev couple. We’ve been blessed to travel the world for free (as long as there are open seats) and it’s taken me to places I used to only dream about going. Throughout my four years of having a passport, I’ve been to 13 countries, but I’m hoping to get that number a lot higher in the coming years.
When writing about my trips, I am as detailed as possible. There will be a day-to-day guide of what I did along with links to where I stayed, the activities I did, etc. At the end of every travel post, I’ll also try to include things I would have done differently if I were to go back. And for all you fellow nonrevvers, I will be documenting our struggles as well!
The other topics I’ll cover are various beauty trends I plan on trying out, such as sugaring, vajacials, laser hair removal and different nail trends (if you know me, you know I always have stilettos with crazy designs). I also just started a skincare routine and will be getting facials regularly, so I’ll keep you posted throughout that process.
All in all, this is a blog where I will be sharing the cool things about my life and this world. Thank you for choosing to keep up with it and I hope you enjoy it!
If there’s ever anything you’d like me to write about or want me to include in any posts, just drop a comment 😊
